1 Compulsory Purchase Order (CPO)

Land assembly and supporting formal legal orders were sought by means of a Compulsory Purchase Order (CPO), titled 'THE CITY OF BRADFORD METROPOLITAN DISTRICT COUNCIL (THORNTON ROAD AND CEMETERY, BRADFORD) (HIGHWAY JUNCTION IMPROVEMENT SCHEME) COMPULSORY PURCHASE ORDER 2021'. The CPO was confirmed on 5 August 2021, without modification, and brought into operation. The Council's consultant surveyor will be in contact with persons, if not already, to either continue or to open negotiations wherever possible to acquire whatever land is needed.
